Marketcheck UK Data Shows Plateau in Average Price of Sold Used EVs at End of 2024 and into 2025

According to their recent findings, the average price of a sold used EV plateaued at the end of 2024 and into 2025.
Between May 2023 and June 2024, the average last listed price of a used EV fell by £6063.40. Starting at £30,441 in May 2023, the average price dropped to £24,377.60 by June 2024. The average continued to decline in July 2024, reaching £23,782.58. However, from July 2024 onwards, the average last listed price ranged from a low of £23,782.58 to a high of £25,029.97 in December 2024. This indicates a stabilization in the market value of used EVs.
Looking at the data by fiscal quarters, the average last listed price in 2023 (excluding the first quarter) was £28,843.61. By 2024, this figure fell by almost 14% to £24,839.93. The price per quarter ranged from £27,776.33 to £29,978.50 in 2023, while in 2024, it ranged from £25,844.33 to £24,059.18.
Alastair Campbell from Marketcheck UK commented on the findings, stating, “Our data have revealed a significant drop in the price of a used EV prior to July 2024.
